Sun 23 Jun 10AM Lane End/Turville

Join us for a lovely circular walk in the heart of the Chilterns starting in Lane End (between Henley on Thames and Marlow) that proceeds through quiet, undulating and off-the-beaten track, with a chance to take in the beautiful landscape of rolling hills. Be warned there are some steep sections - but if you don't climb, you don't see the views. Remember the windmill in Chitty Chatty Bang Bang, well you will see that very windmill on this walk along with the village where the Vicar of Dibley was filmed! This walk really is breathtaking and the feeling of remoteness is reinforced by the two villages that you will pass through en route: Turville and Fingest, both are small, largely unchanged and widely considered timeless villages with distinctive and interesting churches, tucked away in a quiet valley. This route is 5.5 miles (700ft ascent) – and will take approx. 2.5 hours. There is an option for a well deserved pub lunch or drink at least in the pub afterwards! Walk hosted by David of Chiltern Walks.

Price £10 which includes hosted walk
