DESCRIPTION:Join us for an easy and picturesque circular walk around Virginia Water Lake\, within the beautiful surroundings of Windsor Great Park. \nWe’ll meet at the Virginia Water car park\, GU25 4QF (be forewarned parking here is a little punchy\, but it’s worth it!)\, before setting off on the circular lakeside route. The walk is approximately 5¼ miles / 8.5km and should take around two hours at a comfortable group pace. The route follows mainly tarmac or smooth\, compacted paths. \nAlong the way\, we’ll enjoy lovely views across the lake and its tree-lined shores. Highlights include the 30-foot Cascade\, the fascinating Leptis Magna Roman ruins\, the Five-Arch Bridge and the Totem Pole\, as well as plenty of opportunities to spot birds and other wildlife. \nAfter completing the circuit\, we’ll return to the Virginia Water Café at the Pavilion for refreshments. Dogs are very welcome but must be kept under control and on a lead where required. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a beautiful 7¼-mile circular walk through the rolling countryside and woodlands surrounding Turville. \nStarting in the village\, our route will take us past the famous Cobstone Windmill before continuing through Penley Wood\, across Ibstone Common—where we’ll see the Millennium Stone—and into Churchfield Wood. \nWe’ll stop at The Fox in Ibstone which is about the halfway point\, giving everyone an opportunity to rest and enjoy a quick drink before continuing the walk. \nThe route should take around 3½ hours\, plus our stop. Please expect a varied countryside walk and come prepared with suitable footwear\, clothing for the weather and some water. Once we’re back in Turville\, anyone who would like to stay can join us for lunch or a well-earned drink at The Bull & Butcher. SUMMARY:Autumn 5 mile Walk: Amersham
DESCRIPTION:Autumn Walk: Old Amersham & the Shardeloes Estate \nJoin us for an atmospheric autumn walk through the beautiful countryside surrounding Old Amersham and the historic Shardeloes estate. \nOur route of approximately five miles will take us across open fields and through woodland\, with views across the Misbourne Valley and Shardeloes’ 18th-century parkland. By November\, the landscape should be well into its seasonal transformation: expect fallen leaves underfoot\, bare branches appearing overhead and plenty of rich autumn colour lingering in the woods. \nAt the heart of the estate is Grade I-listed Shardeloes House\, an elegant Palladian mansion built between 1758 and 1766. Its surrounding park and lake were shaped by some of the leading landscape designers of the period\, including Nathaniel Richmond and Humphry Repton. During the Second World War\, the house became a maternity hospital\, where more than 5\,000 babies were born. \nThe walk should take around 2–2½ hours. Afterwards\, anyone who would like to can join us for an optional lunch at the historic Elephant & Castle in Old Amersham\, which serves a mixture of traditional British and Cantonese/South-East Asian dishes. \nWalk details \n\nDistance: approximately 5 miles\nDuration: around 2–2½ hours\nStarting point: Old Amersham\nTerrain: field paths\, woodland tracks and potentially muddy or slippery sections\nWhat to bring: sturdy\, waterproof footwear and clothing suitable for the November weather\nAfter the walk: optional lunch at the Elephant & Castle\n\nPlease note that the route may be adjusted if paths are particularly wet or conditions require it.

DESCRIPTION:We always hold our Christmas party on the Sunday before Christmas\, giving us the perfect opportunity to celebrate together before the big day! So get Sunday 20th December in your diary now. \nJoin us in Marlow for a welcome drink\, a delicious Christmas themed buffet and plenty of Christmas cheer. There won’t be live music this year (sad we know but it keeps the ticket cost down)\, but we’ll be choosing the music collaboratively—so expect everyone’s favourite tunes\, lots of Christmas bangers\, plenty of dancing and lots of festive fun!
