SUMMARY:Sunday Walk and Coffee: Binfield Heath (Henley on Thames)
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy an exhilarating spring country walk with us! There’s still time for a Sunday lie in then straight out the door for a 10am start\, you won’t regret it! The walk starts at the Bottle & Glass at Binfield Heath in Oxon and is a beautiful 5 mile walk through woods and heathland and around Crowsley Park! This is a fairly easy walk\, some gentle inclines but muddy and uneven under foot so wear appropriate footwear. We share maps prior to the walk (its not hard)\, there is the option for a shorter route\, so its easy enough to split into 2 groups of power walkers and those that wish to take it more leisurely. \nWe expect the walk to take 1.5-2hours (based on 5 miles)  and we have a table booked back at the Bottle & Glass Barn for a well deserved hot drink afterwards and pastry afterwards. \nPlease note this walk is not guided – we will supply maps and it’s up to you to split into groups\, nominate a couple of leaders and go with it. What’s the worst that could happen! If anyone knows this route and would like to offer to guide the group please let Lisa know.

SUMMARY:GenX Club Event: London
DESCRIPTION:Solara: Over 40s Clubbing | London \nSolara are leading the resurgence of clubbing for the over-40s — bringing Generation X back to the dance floor and proving that great music and great nights out don’t have an age limit. \nTheir over-40s club series returns to Rae’s (formerly Omeara) near London Bridge on Saturday 25th April\, with a full takeover of the venue from 4pm–11pm. I had some friends check out their last club pm/eve and the feedback was that it was fantastic\, if you liked clubbing back in the day\, this one’s for you! \nHeadlining the afternoon and evening are legendary DJs Seb Fontaine and Smokin Jo\, supported by Sarah Bee and Maurits van Rhede\, playing the kind of house music that defined a generation of clubbing. \nOne of the best parts of this event is the early start and early finish — doors open at 4pm\, with free house drinks from 4–5pm for early arrivals. \nWe’ll be making a day of it\, starting with an optional lunch in London beforehand at 2pm for anyone who’d like to meet earlier\, before heading over to the club together. \nExpect a brilliant crowd\, great music and a proper return to the dance floor. Bookings need to be in by end of the easter weekend to secure tickets and a table for lunch. \n

SUMMARY:Play & Stay Padel : Maidenhead
DESCRIPTION:We have a WhatsApp group full of members who love a game of padel tennis\, in various locations from Chesham\, Maidenhead\, Slough\, London and Wokingham. Just drop a message to Lisa who will add you to the group. However we run social tournaments usually on the last Sunday of every month at Padel Maidenhead (as they have 8 covered outside courts) \nPLAY & STAY PADEL\nSo come and join us for a fun and sociable 90-minute padel session! We will link you up with an initial partner. Matches will be 30 minutes long (so 3 games in total)\, with winners moving up a court and losers down \, but don’t worry if you lose\, and you will swap partners for the next game. The idea with players rotating is that everyone gets a chance to meet\, play with\, and against different people. This is all about having fun\, meeting others and playing people at varying levels\, though we suggest you have played padel a fair few times\, understand the rules etc. Sometimes\, we have the last game as all females and all males to give the guys a chance to get their competitive side out! \nAfter the games\, we’ll gather for a post-match drink (not included but grab yourself a coffee\, a treat\, or even a glass of wine) to relax\, chat\, and relive the best moments on court. It’s a great way to enjoy padel in a friendly\, welcoming and fun atmosphere. \nCourts need to be booked 7 days in advance so all bookings by midday on Sunday 19th March. \n

It’s just a lot of fun to wonder around and take it all in\, have a few drinks\, dance at the silent disco\, eat some top notch food and listen to live music. On the Sunday the headline act is Razorlight. All in stunning surroundings on the banks of the Thames. We will be there on the Sunday again this year – It’s an afternoon affair from 1-7pm. \nThis a great chance to enjoy an uplifting and very joyous afternoon with some single DITD friends enjoying the festival. \nPurchase your own ticket direct from the Pub in the Park website for the Sunday in Marlow. SUMMARY:Henley Regatta: Henley on Thames
DESCRIPTION:Time to bring out your best formal summer day attire as Date in the Diary will be at Henley Royal Regatta on the Friday (3rd July) again this year.  Last year was a great success and we enjoyed the rowing\, the atmosphere\, good times together and some fab live music from the Remenham Farm’s legendary Barn Bar – so we are planning that again! \nBuy your event ticket through our website and this grant’s you all-day access to The Barn Bar. We tend to arrive early to enjoy a full afternoon of regatta atmosphere by the river (but you can join us whenever you wish or can). You can enjoy some yummy street food and grab a drink or two from one of the outdoor bars and of course\, watch the rowing action. You welcome to go in and out of the enclosure until 6pm\, so you can go for a wander along the river and really get up close to the rowing action to pop to another bar along the river. The bar is overlooking the river anyway pretty close to the start line.  Once we know numbers\, we’ll book some outside picnic tables. \nStarting at 6pm\, you will be able to experience the magic of the 70s and 80s with live hits from Wonderland Revivals. \nHeadlining this year are The George Michael Singers\, George’s original vocalists who toured and performed with him for over three decades\, delivering a powerful celebration of his greatest hits. Also live on stage\, ABBA Re-Björn\, bringing all the iconic ABBA anthems to really get the party going. Please note from 6pm you won’t be permitted to exit then re-enter the Bar. \nExpect a fun afternoon by the river followed by a night of nostalgia\, glamour and pure disco energy under Barn Bar’s giant party marquee with DJs spinning decade-defining favourites to keep the dance floor full all evening. Book your tickets early for this one. \n
