What better way to start 2025 than with a New years day walk through Old Amersham & The Misbourne Valley – start the year as you mean to go and get walking and talking with your Date in the Diary members and start the year making lots more single friends! After meeting at 1pm, this walk leaves Old Amersham and heads gently up towards the woods at Mop End, it then gently drops down to the lovely Misbourne valley via the historic village of Little Missenden, where we follow the River Misbourne past Shardeloes and back to Old Amersham. The walk is relatively flat with only a gentle climb as we leave Old Amersham. This walk is approx 6.5 miles with just a 306 ft ascent – it’s approx 3 hours of walking. And for those, at the end, wishing to chat through the walk over a a hot drink or a first pint of 2025, there is the option to join your fellow walkers in a local Old Amersham pub to be advised on the day.
