Swing into a Night of Music, Dancing & Vintage Glamour!
Fancy something a little different?
Join us for a fabulous evening at the Henley Jazz Festival as we step back into the glamour and excitement of the 1930s and 40s for an unforgettable night of live music, dancing and vintage style in the beautiful Henley Town Hall Ballroom.
A sensational 17-piece big band, led by Denny Ilett, will bring the golden age of swing to life with timeless classics from Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Harry James, Woody Herman and more. Expect all the favourites, including Take the A Train, Jumpin’ at the Woodside, Two O’Clock Jump and the iconic Sing, Sing, Sing.
Never tried swing dancing before? Don’t worry! Before the band takes to the stage, professional dance teachers will lead a fun taster class, so whether you’ve got two left feet or you’re a seasoned dancer, you’ll be ready to hit the dance floor with confidence.
Dress to impress in your best 1930s or 1940s-inspired outfit – think sharp suits, elegant dresses and vintage glamour. There’s even a prize for the best-dressed dancer!
Licensed bar. Doors open at 7.00pm. Swing taster class starts at 7.30pm
Whether you’re coming to dance the night away, enjoy the incredible live music or simply experience something completely different with a fantastic group of people, this promises to be a brilliant evening.
So… who’s ready to swing?
