What better way to spend a Saturday than completing the Thames Path walk from Marlow to Henley-on-Thames. Come on now, you have always wanted to do this right?
The plan is to meet in Marlow at 10am, with the option to arrive a little earlier and enjoy a pre-walk coffee if you wish. From there, we’ll follow the Thames Path through stunning countryside and follow the Thames Path along one of the most beautiful stretches of the river Thames.
Along the way, we’ll pass Temple and Hurley Lock and the pretty riverside village of Hurley before continuing past Culham Court and through Aston. Later highlights include Hambleden Lock and its impressive weir, views of historic Hambleden Mill, Temple Island and the famous Henley Royal Regatta course.
This walk is about 9 miles (yes you can do it, its all flat), so to break it up, after around three hours of walking, we plan to stop for lunch and refreshments at The Flower Pot Pub in Aston. We’ll then complete the final stretch into Henley, where we can celebrate with a well-earned drink.
The walk itself should take approximately four hours, excluding our lunch stop. Please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather. Bringing water and a small snack is also recommended.
This is a linear walk. From Henley, you can return to Marlow on the direct 850 bus or travel by train. Please check your preferred return journey before setting out.
Meeting time: 10am

Walking time: Approximately 4 hours, plus lunch
